How do I get an assessment for an eating disorder?
Call 614-293-9550
The office staff will take initial information for registration and preparation for the assessment
A clinician will call you to set up an appointment for a clinical eating disorder assessment.

Will you assess a person who needs inpatient treatment?
It depends on the person’s medical stability and severity of the eating disorder. The Center refers all persons who have a BMI under 14, directly to an inpatient or residential eating disorder facility for assessment and treatment due to the level of severity.
Per the American Psychiatric Guidelines for eating disorders, if a person is medically unstable or is under 85% of ideal body weight and refusing to eat, then residential or inpatient treatment is recommended. A partial hospital program is a type of day treatment program and does not provide needed 24 hour patient monitoring.
At The Center, a person can be assessed either by an eating disorder outpatient eating disorder specialist or the Level of Care Specialist who assesses for the higher levels of care provided at The Center. They include the Intensive Outpatient Program for Eating Disorders or the Partial Hospital Program for Eating Disorders.
