Group for Family and Friends, Bldg O

What group does a support person attend?
Sometimes first-time participants bring along one or more support people to the groups. All are welcome! We want you to know that we expect support people to attend their own support group (Friends & Family) while their loved one attends Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, or Binge-Eating group. Because one of the most supportive aspects of the groups is the chance to connect to others with similar experiences, without fear or shame, participants in eating disorder groups often feel uncomfortable sharing their experiences with individuals who are not suffering themselves from the disorder. Additionally, support people need their own support, and can find it in our Friends & Family group. Thank you!
