Support Groups
FREE support groups for eating disorders (donations accepted)

First and Third Tuesday of every month

What others have found helpful from attending support groups:
"Ability to speak freely"
"Just to be able to speak with others about the ED"
"Listening to the group- hearing common troubles/worries"
"Unlike other groups I’ve been to, this one is motivational and the support extends beyond the meetings"

Next group meeting is:
Tuesday, September 21
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM, Buildings M & O

Group for Anorexia, Bldg M
Group for Bulimia, Bldg M
Group for Binge Eating or Compulsive Overeating, Bldg O
Group for Family and Friends, Bldg O Upstairs

What group does a support person attend?
Sometimes first-time participants bring along one or more support people to the groups. All are welcome! We want you to know that we expect support people to attend their own support group (Friends & Family) while their loved one attends Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, or Binge-Eating group. Because one of the most supportive aspects of the groups is the chance to connect to others with similar experiences, without fear or shame, participants in eating disorder groups often feel uncomfortable sharing their experiences with individuals who are not suffering themselves from the disorder. Additionally, support people need their own support, and can find it in our Friends & Family group. Thank you!
